As luck would have it.....

This mama is sick.

Too much stress......
plus
Too little sleep......
plus
Poor nutrition......
plus
Too much caffeine and sugar to combat.....
The lack of good sleep.
Coupled with the need to get 4003790 things done.
equals
One sick mama.
This mama is dead in the water.
Or.....
Swimming in quick sand.
I have pulled out all of my cachet, of big guns.
I am at war with my body.

Low grade fever~Check.
Sore throat~Check.
Cough and congestion~Check.
Super sonic headache~Check.
Earache~Check.
Exhausted body~Check.Check.Check.

Christmas cards were ordered on the 6th.
Finally arrived late Saturday.
Have a major printing error....continue to sit in the box, on the counter.
Not a present has been wrapped.
A bathroom cleaned.
A floor swept.
A menu planned.....

Oh.my.goodness.

Did I mention, that I am the hostess for our family Christmas gathering?

And that my sister, her husband, and baby are arriving first?
Which is tomorrow.
And that, my sweet little niece is not in a position to combat my illness?
Goodness.
Because who knows who will go down next at my house.....
If you are a mama of many, then you know of which I speak.
Then my Dad arrives on Thursday.

And our city girl on Friday.

Seriously.
I need a rally cry.
Or maybe just a good cry.

You need to take zinc. At least 50 mg.
Have some tea with lemon.
Then, go to bed.
Do you hear me?

Get some sleep so that your body will recover, OK?

I'll say some prayers for quick healing.
God Bless you and your family!

Praying your sickness goes away quickly. No matter what it does remeember God has set the path before you sweet country friend.

Your gathering sounds wonderful. Absolutely wonderful.

Do you know that I remember one Christmas that our we all gathered at my Mom's for Christmas. We ALL got sick. Every last one of us throwing up, laying on the couch, not moving, not eating. But that's not what made it so memorable. That was the very last Christmas I saw my brother. He died 4 months later.

So walk through your day with your kleenex in hand, take your zinc, vit C and drink you tea and enjoy every smile that surrounds your beautiful face!

Love you~Cinnamon

I'm so sorry to hear about your being ill and hope no one else gets ill for your sick self to care for. Prayers you are feeling better soon. Don't worry about the cards. I like getting some after Christmas, spreads out the fun. Rest, delegate things or forget them. toss them in the closet, basement, garage, etc. Everyone and everyone will understand. Deb
