Isn't it amazing?
I have no idea how or why this puppy is still with us this morning.
She is as close to the edge without going over as one could possibly get.
And yet....
She stays.
It's either her will.
Or ours. That keeps her going.
Either that.
Or the homemade chicken stock with added homeopathic remedies that is doing the work.
And we all know what chicken soup can do for the soul.
But. Is it enough to heal this little body?
We shall see.
The vigil, all nighters, medicine droppers, love, words of affirmation and will....
Should help, right?
If I can will this puppy to live, for the heart of these boys, and the heart of this mama.
I will.
And if willpower is not enough.
Then I will have done my best.
And at the end of the day.
Maybe that's the life lesson for my boys.
So, while our lives move at a snails pace.
We are staying close to home and this sweet girl.
Just.in.case.
And I am ever so thankful for~
The sunshine yesterday.
The tender love my boys are expressing.
A helpful husband.
Education, on our own schedule.
Homemade chicken stock simmering on the stove.
Bread that I am getting ready to bake. (Therapy)
Advice from my mother.
Texts from my daughter.
A caring Vet.
My best friend calling. More than once. Bringing us a meal tonight.
And all of you.
Sharing our life as it unfolds.
Daily.
And especially over the plight of a puppy.
Despite the heaviness that we are feeling.
Callie is lovingly being cared for and ministered too.
As are we.
Life is hard.
It's all a process.
Yet....
Life is beautiful.
XO
Kristin

Life IS beautiful and it truly is amazing that this little puppy keeps holding onto it! So glad you are able to keep this perspective in the midst of it all and are showing your kids by example how to handle these circumstances with faith and trust that HE is in control no matter what! :-)
Blessings to you friend,
Vanessa
I think it's amazing that Callie hangs on. She's a beautiful puppy and she obviously loves you guys as much as you love her! I'm bringing tears to my own eyes.
Keep up the vigil, the homemade stock and never give up on her. I'm still praying for a miracle!
We are still praying for your puppy and family.
